Author Kevin Sylvester visits

Author Kevin Sylvester came to our school and spoke to Grade 6-8 students today. He explained how his desire to become a comic book illustrator ultimately led him to a career as a writer/illustrator. His presentation included readings from his newest series of books, MiNRs, and his newest book, Mucus Mayhem. With tips for students on both writing and drawing, he encouraged students to "be brave and curious" in following their goals. And, yes, he is related to the Sylvesters who started Syl's.
